Word and Pictures
Words and Pictures supports phonics teaching and learning. It has games, activities and prinatable resources, with information for parents and teachers.

Magic Key
The Magic Key website is aimed at children aged 5-6 years and follows the TV programmes in which Kipper, Biff, Chip, Wilf, Wilma and Floppy go off on their adventures. The site is based on the literacy objectives for Year

Starship English
Starship is the BBC's new service to support 6-7 year old children with English and Maths skills in Year 2. The web games are part of a learning package which includes TV/radio programmes.

Little Animals Activity Centre
The Little Animals Activity Centre is a fun way for 4-8 year olds to learn and play at home. Includes English and Mathematics activities, featuring friendly animal characters.

 

KS1 Bitsize English
A fun site with games and printable activities which cover some of the Key Stage 1 objectives for English, including pronouns, synonyms, sentence construction and spelling.

KS2 Revisewise
Another BBC site featuring activities and quizzes to help Year 6 pupils revise for their National Curriculum Tests in English.

Spellits
Follow a quest or solve a mystery by completing spelling challenges. Spellits  features three spelling games designed for children between 7-11 years old.

Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check
This spelling aid allows you to input up to ten spellings. You can then watch flash card sequences and do spelling tests online, using the Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check strategy. Spelling tests can be printed out.

Space Hangman
Use your knowledge of spelling patterns and rules, to help defeat Alpha the Alien. Features 5 levels, each with three stages of difficulty
