School Uniform Bank
We are working alongside a voluntary organisation called School Uniform Bank who will be providing free, brand new school uniform to Primary Schools in Clayton-le-Moors to help families in financial hardship. There is now a clothing bin in the school reception area for anyone wishing to donate any items to this good cause - any donation will be a massive help. If you are struggling to buy new uniform for your child please email schooluniformbank@gmail.com for more information.

September 2021 - School visited Pastor Anne at the local Baptist Church. She is heavily committed to improving the lives of some of our local residents by providing packages of food and clothing. This year, our Harvest will be donated to them and we will be organising lots of events through the year to raise money and donate items to this worthy cause.
Just a few examples of what the School Uniform Bank provides for some of our families on a regular basis.
December 2020 - Our festive boxes for the elderly of Clayton-le-Moors are currently being packed and we cannot believe just how much the whole community has taken to the idea. Last week we appeared in the Accrington Observer and a local magazine (see picture). Our children have written some beautiful letters and a stamp addressed envelope has been included in the hope they will write back and it will be the start of a 2 way communication.
November/December 2020 - Boxes for the Elderly. We were delighted that our efforts were recorded in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph on late Novvember. We hope this will spur even more people to donate for our boxes for the elderly.
November/December 2020 - Gift boxes for the elderly. We are very busy in school creating 50 boxes made up of community donations of food and presents for the elderly residents of our Parish. Miss Schofield and the GIFT Team are busy making these up in preparation for Christmas. Every box contains lots of treats including tea, coffee, hot-chocolate, cup-a-soups, word searches and crosswords, food and a letter from one of our pupils. It is hoped that this will be the start of a 'pen-friend' relationship between school and the elderly residents of Clayton-le-Moors.
October 2020 - We are busy collecting food for our local foodbank. Here is the first of many baskets ready for collection!
September 2020 - We are busy again growing food in our outdoor eco-classroom to donate to our local foodbanks!
March 2020 - CAFOD Assembly. Children learnt about who we will be supporting this year and news about our non-uniform football day aimed at raising as much money as possible for this year's chosen charity.
November 2019 - Thank you to Mrs Moss and the School Council for organising a community coat collection this week!
We regularly raise money for CAFOD and Bob Turner comes into school on a regular basis to let us know about the people of Cambodia who benefit from this money.
We collect on a weekly basis for food donation to our local food bank.
