Mount Carmel Partnership

We are extremely proud to be a feeder school for Mount Carmel High School in Accrington. Mount Carmel work tirelessly to provide our school with lots of extra curricular activities as well as a taste of life at High School for our Year 5 and Year 6 children. Some of these events include: Mad for Maths/Excited for English/Computing/Science competitions throughout the year; a Year 5 enrichment programme focusing on a wealth of different subjects throughout the year where our children visit and are visited by Mount Carmel; STEM workshops and award;  musical events such as the 'Accrington Market Place Carol Singing' event and the 'Mount Carmel Carol Concert'. We also have eco-links with the school and are making curriculur links in areas such as Science.

A huge well done to Mount Carmel on receiving a judgement of 'Good' in their October 2021 OFSTED inspection!

Our Class 4 children are thoroughly enjoying their curriculum enrichment time at Mount Carmel!

Class 4 have had their curriculum enriched via a number of visits from staff at Mount Carmel, including this practical French lesson where a French cafe was set up in class and children had to use new vocabulary to order items from the cafe.

March 2020 - 'God's Eco-Warriors' visited Mount Carmel Secondary School to take part in a special eco-day. A litter pick was followed by making special window decorations out of recycled plastics and making costumes out of recycled materials. The children had yet another amazing time at Mount Carmel and brought back lots of new initiatives we can use here in school!

January 2020 - Well done to our 'Excited for English' quiz team who finished runners-up out of 11 schools!

Just some of the many different events we have participated in with Mount Carmel over the last year.
