Headteacher's Welcome
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”
Matthew 25:35-36
Welcome to the website for St Mary's RC Primary School. We are a small, welcoming and loving school where our children are at the heart of all we do. The Christian Values of love, respect, joy and friendship are central to all that happens at St Mary's as we work as a team to ensure our children achieve their potential in every aspect of life. Each day I see happy children being nurtured, supported, inspired and challenged by dedicated and skilled staff. Relationships with parents and families are of vital importance to us all and we strive to work in harmony for each and every child. If you would like to visit our school you will be assured of a very warm welcome, just give our office a call and make an appointment to have a look around at your convenience. It will be my pleasure to show you around St. Mary's and answer any questions that you may have.
Kind Regards,
Michael Mashiter ( Headteacher )
A welcome from our Head Boy & Head Girl
Welcome to our St. Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School Website. Being a part of this wonderful school family is one of the best things you can do. All of the loving teachers provide a fantastic range of learning experiences which help us to thrive in school. Every child is treated equally and we always work together as a team to achieve the best possible outcomes. When your children start at our school in Reception, they will be provided with a Year 6 buddy who will help them to settle in and be there when they need them. They will also write them a letter before they start school. We hope you will come to visit us and feel a part of this special school family.

Pupil Leadership
Our Head Boy and Head Girl do a wonderful job in representing our school and following the success of this, we decided that every pupil in Class 5 should have a pupil leadership role. They each have a new to Reception buddy to whom they send a letter, reading bag and a special book about starting school, the summer before they start. They remain buddies for that first year and sit with each other during Worship and Church visits as well as trips and visits...it is impossible to separate them when it comes to break and lunch times too! This helps them settle in to their new school. They also have other responsibilities at St. Mary's which are displayed in the school entrance.
