Guided Reading
Each child in school has a guided reading session each day. This could involve an independent pre-read or a pre-read with a teaching assistant; a guided reading session with the teacher and a follow up piece of work with a focus on vocabulary, comprehension or a range of writing activities linked to the text just read.
